I interned at HealthPlix Technologies in the summer following my third year of college. It was a
2 month internship, from April'22 to June'22.
As the most dependable EMR platform for doctors in the nation, HealthPlix's doctor base and
network include more than 370 cities in India. I participated in the design team as a UX Design
Intern for the Engineering department during my internship.
My daily responsibilities at HealthPlix included building decision flows for apps, UI for mobile
and web platforms, and maintaining design elements.
As of this year, more than 22 million patients across India have been treated through the
HealthPlix EMR platform by doctors practising across 16 specialities.
I worked on one such specialty added this year: the Gynaecology EMR. It aimed to digitise
medical records so that both patients and doctors—as well as their management, hospitals,
etc.—could easily access them.
I served as a representative of the Design team and helped the Product and Growth team conduct
user research, assessed the features' technical viability, and presented concepts in
cross-department meetings with engineering, project managers, design leads, and senior
management.
I also assisted in designing the UI for the Case Sheet, the Visit Pad, and the foundational
elements required for the Gynaecology EMR. I gained knowledge of working with large-scale design
systems and components,
doing user research and interviews, and comprehending the concerns, requirements, and objectives
of the various stakeholders throughout my time at HealthPlix Tech.
