Ingressive for Good (i4G) is a non-profit organisation based out of Africa, that aims to help
students break into technology.
Zuri is an organisation based out of Oregon, that helps students scale their career in technology
with the help of online taught, task-based courses, called the Zuri Scholarship.
It is a 3 month scholarship program. Selected top performers that meet a certain criteria proceed to
the stage of live implementation thereby graduating.
I was selected for the Summer Cohort Scholarship Program of 2022, under the full time Product Design
Track, being one of the few students selected from my country, India.
The following are the tasks i completed as part of my training:

Task 1: Laws of UX
Assignment A - Digital product
Review the apps and websites below; Identify which UX laws they got right and which ones they got
wrong. Attach pictures supporting your answers.
1. Nigeria railway website;
2. Nigerian Railway App;
3. African Union Website;
4. Organization of African Petroleum Exporting Countries;
Assignment B - Physical product
Review one physical product and state the laws of UX followed and the ones not followed.Attach a
picture of the product that you reviewed supporting your answer.
Example of a physical product: powerbank, traffic light, etc
Brief:
To map out clear solutions to real-life problems, i.e., everyday objects using design, to understand
how design impacts our lives.
Task 3: Re-designing task
Creating Onboarding Screens
Thinking of 3 features the Nigerian railway app should have, create 3 onboarding screens with each
showing the features you have thought of for the Nigerian railway app onboarding you are designing.
Designing the Hero Section
Redesign the hero section of the Nigerian railway website
Task 4: Creating a Style Guide
Create a style guide that consists of the following:
Color system (Pick a color then generate styles from the tints and shades of that color)
Typography (Choose a font and create a typography scale.)
Iconography (Find an icon pack from the Figma community, duplicate and copy it into your Figma
file)
Spacing system (Create a spacing standard)
Grid system (Create a grid system for a Desktop, tablet, and mobile screens)
Buttons system (All buttons should be auto-layout components and variants)
Input fields (Should consist of different states)
Task 5: User Research
Logistics, Fintech, Health-Tech, Agro, Entertainment. From any of the niches/industries above,
choose one, and find a problem in the chosen niche/industry.
a. Create a research plan and write an interview script.
b. Interview at least 5 people, (ensure that they pass your screener questions could be on slack or
anywhere else).
